SWIMMING POOL RULES & REGULATIONS

The swimming pool is for Five Canyons Owners Association members and their guests. All persons are required to comply with pool rules and regulations or their privileges will be revoked. Please read and abide by all posted signs. 

No lifeguard will be on duty. Members and guests are to swim at their own risk. The Association assumes no liability for any personal injury, loss of property or damage to property.

A. ACCESS. ELIGIBILITY AND HOURS

  1. Pool Area Hours: The pool area will be open from Memorial Day through October 31st, depending upon weather conditions. The hours of operation for general use are 10:00 am - 9:00 pm; with adult lap swim time available from 6:00 am - 9:00 am and 9:00 pm-10:00 pm. Pool maintenance is scheduled between 9-10 am.
  2. No member will be allowed to enter the pool area without his or her key. Please note that there is a [$50.00] fee to replace lost or damaged cards.
  3. State law requires that an adult 18 years or older must accompany children under 14 years old. Hot tub is limited to individuals 18 years and older
  4. Due to health concerns - Non toilet trained children and children wearing diapers are not allowed in the main pool or the spa at any time.
  5. Each residence may have up to two guests in the pool area. Guests under the age of 18 are not allowed in the pool area without a resident (adult 18 or older), accompanying them. The adult resident must be present with their guests in the pool area at all times and is responsible to ensure their guests obey the rules.
  6. Entrance to the pool area will be denied to members who are delinquent in the payment of their monthly homeowners assessments or have an outstanding infraction (determined after notice and hearing has been held) of the Association Declaration of Covenants, Conditions and Restrictions of Association Rules. Infractions include Drunkenness, and other inappropriate behavior, etc.

B SAFETY REGULATIONS

  1. No diving allowed.
  2. No playing with drain skimmers or pool equipment.
  3. No bicycles, roller skates, skateboards, roller blades, heavy balls, Frisbee's or any motorized vehicles permitted.
  4. No mattresses or inflatable toys are allowed in the pool (except for safety flotation devices).
  5. No playing with drain skimmers or pool equipment of any kind.
  6. No running or roughhousing in the pool area.
  7. All beverages brought into pool area shall be in unbreakable containers. Glass containers of any kind are never allowed in the pool area.
  8. No spitting in the pool area.
  9. No water balloons or squirting toys allowed in the pool area.
  10. No pets allowed.

C. GENERAL POLICIES

  1. Swimmers shall shower before entering the water. Suntan lotions and oils can damage the furniture and stain the pool, please use a towel before using the pool furniture.
  2. No food may be brought into the pool area.
    (a) The owner is responsible to see that all trash is placed in trash containers before leaving the pool area.
    (b) No eating, drinking or gum chewing while in the water.
  3. Pool furniture is not to be removed from the pool area. Members are reminded that pool furniture is common property of the Five Canyons Owners Association. It behooves each member to take care of it.
  4. Residents using the pool in the early morning or at night must be careful not to disturb those who live in the vicinity.
  5. The pool may be closed at any time due to HomeOwner Association events, safety reasons necessary repairs or maintenance.
  6. The Association assumes no liability for any personal injury, loss of property or damage to property.
  7. Radio devices without headphones (radios, stereos, boom boxes, CD's) and excessive noise are not permitted in the pool area at any time.
  8. Any person having skin disease, inflammation of the eyes or nose, or communicable disease is prohibited from using the main pool, wading pool or spa.
  9. Swim suits must be worn:
    (a) No jeans or cut-offs allowed.
    (b) Children with diapers must wear rubber pants with their diapers
  10. Drinking Policy: Consumption of alcoholic beverages in the pool area is prohibited.
  11. Violations of any of the rules or regulations may result in a fine and/or loss of pool area, tennis or sport court privileges.
  12. No Smoking in the pool area.

D. SCHEDULED POOL TIME

  1. Organized activities (team competition or practice, group lessons, exercise classes must have prior Board approval.
